Erectile dysfunction medicines seized in Glengormley

Large amounts of unlicensed medicines have been taken by Department of during a search of a house in Glengormley.

A male was talked to by department officers about illegally importing and consequently supplying unlicensed impotence medications via the internet.

The 47-year-old was also questioned about other medicine offences.

He will now be the subject of a report to the general public Prosecution Service.

The search was performed by the department’s Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement workplace, Peter Moore, stated: “It is essential that we get the message throughout that unlicensed medicines can be dangerous.

"These types of items being offered, usually online, have actually undergone no quality assurance and there can be no assurance about their security.

"You merely do not understand what you are taking or the conditions these products were made in. More significantly, you do not understand the effect drugs like this might have on your health.“
